Josh Olins

This is the front cover of the latest ID magazine S/S ' The livin' loud issue'. This photography work has been produced by a photographer called Josh Olins. His photography work that he has done for the shoot is amazing, but the styling is amazing. With the Hair, makeup and outfits the models wear it relates very much to the look that is up and coming for this summers trends which is spread across many S/S magazines. When viewing this imagery i went onto Josh Olin's website as i had not heard of him before but when going on i realised i recognized many of his work that has been in several magazines in the past. This has given me another artist to inspire me for the future.

(LOVE s/s 2011 The Androgyny issue)

(LOVE s/s 2011 The Androgyny issue)
Now. This isn't my normal kind of thing i would like, but after viewing the images again after my quick first glance. I have realised how much i actually do like these. When re-looking it reminded me of an images my dad had back in the late 80's to early 90's of a woman with curves big breast and a very large bum starring at a painting of a Porsche, With an old man glazing at her through the corner of his eye. It does not remind me of the concept of the image never mind how amusing i remember the image to be. It was of how the woman was perceived and the way they had airbrushed her body to look glossy. I am intrigued into how this process has been created.  Another question i find with these images is the question of is the glossy look sexy?? As one of my lectures pointed out to me today in Tokyo there porn website have a lot of relation to they type of cartoons they have, which is called Anime. So does this glossy look become an attractive look to the male sex or female? As you get this whole controversy of woman been airbrushed to perfection, these woman are literally airbrushed to perfection. The pictures overall are beautiful and skilfully created, it turning fashion to a whole new era (maybe).
